The project is a part of an organizational development that intends to support communication, networking, and documentation systems of the Community Based Organization (CBO) of Field Program Locations (FPLs) through ICT devices. The project aims to support the CBOs for easy access to information, effective communication and developing documentation systems by setting up ICT systems.
The project provided ICT devices such as laptop, printer, internet service and other devices in the form of grants to the CBOs. The project also focused on providing basic orientation to the respective ICT incharge of the CBOs on operating and managing the ICT devices. The devices are being managed by the respective CBO for their operational use as well as an extra source of organizational funds by allowing the community people to use the devices with minimal charge.
Our group members as well as community people do not have to go far to access ICT services as we have those services within our community as a result of this ICT project. We are able to project and watch various useful videos related to agriculture, and other informational contents. Furthermore, we are now able to keep digital records with the availability of the ICT devices. Before, we used to keep records in written form only, whereas now we are able to maintain digital records on the laptop which has supported the group in managing and organizing the records.
