A Working Group for Marginalized Indigenous Ethnic Nationalities

Lakasa Nepal is a non-governmental organization established in 2010 (2067 BS).

It works to bring positive change among the marginalized indigenous ethnic groups uplifting their life though educational, social, economical, cultural empowerment process. LN has been working with various organizations including Lalitpur Metropolitan City in the sectors of awareness raising, capacity building and empowerment of women, children, youth, adults and senior citizens with participation of local communities in Lalitpur .

After the devastating earthquake in 2015, Lakasa Nepal implemented some relief programs and supported to rebuild temporary shelters in 7 earthquake affected districts with support of Rebuild Nepal and Mercy Relief Singapore including individual donors. With continued support of Mercy Relief, Singapore, LN built two earthquake resilient school buildings in Sindhupalchowk, the most earthquake affected district.

Since 2016 October, LN established its partnership with Outreach International, USA to start Participatiory Human Development Program (PHDP) in Nepal with the objectives of empowering people to resolve their poverty issues and improve their lives.
